It is the mission of the South Shaver library to maintain a welcoming and accessible environment to support and empower students as they navigate diverse texts in order to become lifelong readers and critical thinkers. 

Our vision is to ensure that all students have access to an engaging and diverse library collection as well opportunities for collaborative and project based research.

Goals:

• Promote all genres and formats of text to encourage lifelong readers
• Collaborate with students and staff to ensure that lessons are engaging and purposeful
• Design student-centered displays and create comfortable reading areas in order to maintain a warm and welcoming environment
• Curate a library collection that is inclusive and diverse
